Projects

Our project „Work and Organizational Psychology in Practice“ is a private-public cooperation between the Adolf-Würth-Center for History of Psychology and the Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co KG. The main purpose of this project is to transfer psychological know-how to applied settings within occupational contexts. Furthermore, our student assistants get the chance to develop necessary skills for working as organizational psychologists in a company and profit from a variety of practical experiences early in their studies. Another purpose is the realization of applied research in the field of work and organizational psychology.
The project mainly focuses on the development of assessment tools, such as the development of  assessment centers for managers or the realization of training sales programs for trainees and sales professionals. All projects are based on psychological methods, theories and empirical findings of the current state of the art, integrating historical concepts as well.
Concerning our research we are mainly interested in the growing field of time management research, including different questions such as: What can be described as “good” time management behavior from the psychological point of view or is the training of time management really effective with regarding well-being and performance.  Besides current research we also integrate historical concepts of effective and efficient behavior regulation, which can be traced back to Narziss Ach, an important scientist of the Würzburg School.
