Call for Papers

Welcome to the ESHHS conference at the University of Würzburg, Germany 2013. The following call for papers gives you further detailed information about the submission process and deadlines for the conference.

The European Society for the History of Human Sciences (ESHHS) invites submissions to its annual conference to be held at University of Würzburg, Germany, 30 July to 02 August 2013

Papers, posters, symposia, or workshops may deal with any aspect of the history of the behavioral, human, and social sciences or with related historiographic and methodological issues.

Petteri Pietikäinen (University of Oulu, Finland)
Sharman Levinson (Université d’Angers, France and the American University of Paris)
Armin Stock, (University of Würzburg, Germany)

Submissions must be received by March 31st 2013, and must be submitted online by filling in the online submission form. The abstract of your work is also to be submitted within that online submission form.

Papers: Submit a 500-600 word abstract plus a short bibliography. The program committee welcomes original papers, i.e. not previously presented at other conferences or published.

Posters: Submit a 300 – 400 word abstract.

(The poster size should be DIN A0, portrait format: 841 x 1189 mm / 33.1 x 46.8 inch)

Symposia: Submit a 300-word abstract describing the symposium as a whole, and a 500-600 word abstract plus short bibliography from each of the participants.

A limited number of travel funds will be available to students and to scholars from countries with low value currencies who are presenting papers or posters. Please indicate by sending an email to the local organizer along with your submission if you wish to be considered for this arrangement.
